The Wine

The wine is rice, spacious and quite lingering. It recalls fresh fruit, small fruit in particular, inner-mouth spiciness, mountain hay and autumn leaves. Excellent structure; balanced tannicity and acidity extremely pleasing, just like the great wines with long ageing. It is a wine worthy of the fame it has always enjoyed.

The Sordo winemaking estate was established in the early years of the twentieth century. It was in 1912 that Giuseppe Sordo began to cultivate vineyards and make wine in the small village of Garbelletto in the township of Castiglione Falletto. One of the most well-known and coveted vineyards planted in the municipality of Verduno. Due to its special microclimate, from researchers to experts, this historic vineyard has been considered a grand cru, among the best vineyard terrains in the area.
